Tutu-ally great card version two

Another flip swing cow card for the children's charity.  Used a fun digi image from QKR Stampede called Dancing Cow.  Colored the cow with patterns in Gimp, printed the image, then finished off some details with Copic markers.  Cut out the flip/swing card base with my Cameo using a cut file from the Silhouette store.  Corners were cut out with EK Success corner and flower punches.  Inside circle says "Hope your day is tutu-ally great."

35th Holiday Card

This is the 35th holiday card I have made this year for the Cards For Hospitalized Kids charity. 

I find Photoshop difficult to work with so I have been playing with GIMP the past few days.  I finally figured out how to turn digital paper into pattern files.  Once they are converted and saved in the patterns folder in GIMP  I can use them to color in png images.  The snowflake paper is from Bugaboo.  That is one of the papers I converted to a pattern and I used it to color the letters and for the background. The penguin (from Bugaboo) was also colored with patterns which makes it look way more interesting than if I had hand colored it, since I am not very good with my Copics.  I designed and cut out all the card pieces using my Cameo and the Silhouette Studio DE software.  Snowflakes and center dots were cut out with EK Success punches.  White layer is embossed with snowflake texture plate from Sizzix.

You quack me up

I need a few more cards to fill up this month's package for the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity. This little duck is a digi image I bought from the Silhouette store a few weeks ago.  I printed the duck along with several others, but put them away to work on another card.  Lol, then I had a senior moment and couldn't find where I put them.  Today they showed up while I was cleaning up my craft area.  I cut out the image and scalloped border with Spellbinders dies.  The green stitched border was cut out with MFT Blueprints die.  All the paper pieces used on this card were scraps left over from other projects, but I'm sure the little kids won't mind receiving a scrappy card since the little duck is so cute.

I made this flip/swing style birthday card for my husband's cousin who has two pet birds. 

 Inside circle says " Happy Bird-day to you!"  I opened the cut file, image and saying in Silhouette Studio DE.  Printed all the pieces, then cut them out with my Silhouette Cameo.  Corner pieces were cut out with a Whimsy Stamps corner die.  Since this is being mailed and will travel through several states to get there, I didn't add any bulky embellishments.  Hopefully with the card being flat,  it will go through the postal machines without a problem.

Just sitting here version 2

I combined these two images in Gimp to use on my card.  

Also created the patterned papers in Gimp and colored the chair with the floral pattern.  Background layer embossed with Sizzix texture plate.  Pink flowers were cut out with EK Success punch.  Stitched layer was cut out with MFT Blueprints 13 die.  Added pearls to the center of flower and a saying with twine bow.

Colored the Christmas tag png image with Gimp using texture patterns and solid colors.  Opened the colored image in Silhouette Studio DE, traced, added layers, then printed. Cut out the tag with my Silhouette Cameo.  Added the ribbon and tied a bow with jute twine.
