I haven't been feeling well lately.  Decided to take a bit of a break from card making and blogging until I'm feeling better.

Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card I made for a friend who has a little dog that looks a lot like this one.   Cut out the main image, oval center piece and saying with my Cameo using a card kit from the Craftsuprint web store.  You can't tell from the picture, but there's several layers attached to the card base.

Another card for the Card Care Connection Charity.  I used a kit by Silvia Griffin.  Opened the files in Silhouette Studio DE.  I traced the images then cut out all the layers.  Inked the edges of all the pieces with a Marvy Sepia ink pad, then assembled onto a dark brown card base.

Here's a Halloween card I made for the children's charity using a cut file from My Scrap Chick.  The file is set up to be a treat box, but I made a card base in Silhouette Studio to change it into a card.  All pieces were cut out with my Cameo, inked all the edges, assembled the pieces, then added details with a white pen.

I used a pretty fall print and cut file I bought during the sale at the Silhouette store last week. Cut of the image and rust color layer with my Silhouette Cameo, then mounted to a mustard color card base.

I made both cards with a Darice Leafy Tree embossing folder, Marvy leaf punch and some sayings I cut out with my Cameo.  These are for the Card Care Connection Charity.  I was able to use up some of my card stock scraps and some of the kraft card stock that I bought too much of when it was on sale at Michaels.

Had some time to play this afternoon and was able to make 2 cards.  This one is a Birthday card for a little girl made with a fun print and cut owl from the Silhouette store.  Also used Sizzix embossing folder for the confetti background, Spellbinders dies to cut out the scalloped ovals and my Cameo to cut out the owl and the saying.

You are so doggone special

Thank you card for my neighbor who is always buying our dog special treats.   I used a cute digi image from QKR Stampede called Doggie Bone and colored it with Copic markers.  Hand cut out the image at attached it to a circle cut out with a Spellbinders die.  Saying was cut out with my Cameo.   Blue and white paper from my stash.

A flower is natures smile

This cute kitty is sold by Motivet.  Colored the kitty with Copic markers and cut out with Spellbinders dies.  Saying is a retired stamp from SU.  Polka dot scrap from my stash.  This month's card for a cause at Splitcoast Stampers is to make cards for a animal rescue shelter.  So this one will be in the package I'm sending at the end of this month.

Watercolor stamping

Tried the watercolor stamping technique using Memento markers and a oldie but goodie Hero Arts stamp called Real Drooping Flower.  After stamping on watercolor paper, I used a paintbrush to soften and blend the colors.  Cut out the image and background layer with stitched square dies.

Another Snoopy swing card for this months Cards For A Cause at Splitcoast Stampers.  It's for a pet rescue organization.  They are asking for general theme and thank you cards to give to those who adopt pets or make a contribution.  Stamped Snoopy with Memento ink and colored with Copics. Used a Sizzix die to cut out card base, pink layer and image.  Whimsy die to cut out fancy corners.

Snoopy swing card - first post

I made a fun Snoopy swing card for this months Cards For A Cause at Splitcoast Stampers.  It's for a pet rescue organization.  They are asking for general theme and thank you cards to give to those who adopt pets or make a contribution. Stamped Snoopy with Memento ink and colored with Copics. Used a Sizzix die to cut out card base, pink layer and image.  You can't tell from the photo, but the pink layer is embossed with a Darice Paw Print folder.

This cute pup is a digi image from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colored the image with Gimp and cut out with CC and Spellbinder dies.  White background layer was embossed with Darice Paw Prints folder.  Cut out white layer with MFT stitched die.  Added two tiny pink punched bones to the saying.

Halloween Cards - 2nd post today

I was the lucky winner at HIMCR of a fun paper package from DCWV.  I plan to use a lot of the papers and labels to make cards for the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity.  Here's the second group of cards I made with them, Also used Cricut machine die cuts of spiders and bats.  I wanted to add goggle eyes to the spiders and bats, but the hospitals no longer allow small embellishments on the cards as the kids may eat them.

Found this cute little squirrel at the Silhouette store.  Cut the image out with my Cameo.  Cloud circle, ground, scalloped circle and saying were cut out with dies.  Used some woodgrain paper from my stash for the background and finished off with a jute bow.  This is going in the next box for the children's charity.
