Vintage style card

I always struggle when making Vintage style cards, but I decided to play with some ideas to see what I could come up with.  This stamp is from Coronado Island.  I bought it several years ago, but never used it until today.  I stamped the image onto GP 110# white card stock with Versafine black ink.  Let dry, then cut out image and background layer with Spellbinders Card Creators dies.  Punched the flowers, leaves and fancy corners on the black layer with EK Success punches.  Embossed the white background layer with the Darice Flur de lis folder.  Added some lace plus gems and pearls to the flowers and corners.  Attached image to card base with pop dots.  This is way out of my comfort zone, but it's fun to try out different styles every so often.

Women from the past

Vintage style cards are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I gave it a go today.  Printed the faux postage grid then stamped 4 ladies from the Hero Arts Women from the past stamp set.  One of my favorite oldies but goodies stamp sets.  Cut out images with postage stamp decorative scissors from Fiskars.  Added lace, flowers with pearls and EK punched leaves.

Owl Always Love You

It's only 2 degrees outside so I'm staying inside and playing in my craft room today.  While looking through my clear stamps, I found this cute little owl that was one of my impulse purchases last year.  It's one of the Studio G sets that I bought on sale for 50 cents.  It was past Valentine's Day when I bought it, so I stuck it away and forgot about it.  When I discovered it today, I decided to make a card with it.  The owl and saying stamps are in the Studio G set and the branch is from a Stampendous Changito clear set.  I used Colorbox pigment inks and Georgia Pacific white cardstock.  Designer paper is from Basic Grey.  I used sketch 296 from Sketch Saturday as my inspiration.
