Hope Your Birthday Is Purrfect In Every Way

My card was inspired by this card by Lori.  I used the same basic layout, but added flowers in the upper left corner and substituted the tag banner for the twine.  Stamped this fun Penny Black kitty image with Memento black ink.  Then colored the image with Copic markers.  Cut out the image and saying with Spellbinders dies.  Button die is from IO.  Flowers were cut out with a retired Stampin Up punch.  Also used pearls, twine and papers from my stash.  This is going in the package for Rose's Fund For The Animals which is the May Cards For A Cause Challenge on the forum at Splitcoast Stampers.

Thank you

As the inspiration for my card, I used this card by Laurie who is on the design team at Catch The Bug,   It's from a old Stella Says Sketch challenge and I love this classic layout.  This cute pup is called Itchy Love and he/she lives at Bugaboo.  I printed the image and saying.  Colored it with Copic markers.  I used Spellbinders rectangle dies to cut out the image and the scalloped background layer.  All other pieces were cut out with MFT dies. Followed the layout on Lauries card except I moved the saying to a tag in the lower right corner and added my tiny bow tied with twine.  This is going in the package for Rose's Fund For The Animals. See the May Cards For A Cause Challenge in the Forum on Splitcoast Stampers for more details   Thought this card could be used it to say Thank you to the those who contribute to the fund to help the animals in need.

Wow, got 2 cards done today.

Hubby went to the home improvement store so I had lots of time to play this afternoon.  Was able to get two cards done.  For this easel card, I set up my Cameo and test cut a new scallop easel style card using a svg file that I bought at the .50 sale from My Scrap Chick.  Was able to use up scraps from my bin for the pink and white layer.  Cut out the easel card base, doily and flowers with my Silhouette Cameo.  Cut out letters with a Hello die from Whimsy, dots are from EK punch and the butterflies were cut out with a punch from Martha S.  This is going in the next box to the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity.

Embossed Gatefold Card

The Cards For A Cause Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers this month is Rose's Fund For Animals.  They are asking for "Thank You", "Hello or Thinking of You" type cards.  They will be selling the cards to raise funds to help the animals in need.  Also sending cards to thank those who are contributing funds.

I made a gatefold card with embossed panels, punched flowers with pearl centers and a cute puppy image that was colored with Copic markers.  Image and tag were cut out with Spellbinders dies.  Saying on the tag is "You are Pawsitively Wonderful".  Thought they could use this to send as a thank you for anyone who is helping this wonderful cause.

Embossed horse card for a little boy

I need more cards for the little boys at the children's charity, but I always seem to struggle when making them.  So I tried something a bit different for this card.  I found a brass stencil in my stash that I have had for many years and used a light box to hand emboss the image with a stylus.  Then I turned the image over with the stencil still attached and inked the image with a sponge applicator.  Cut out the image with a Spellbinders die, then distressed the edges with the same ink as the image.  Added my usual banner saying with the tiny bow tied with jute twine.  I haven't done hand embossing with a light box for many years and it was a lot of fun to revisit that technique.

For the girls

I have a box filled with die cut shapes, images, paper scraps and embellishments that were left over from other projects.  It's time to use them up instead of adding more scraps to the box, so I plan to make a bunch cards with them this month for the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity.

Bugs Bunny You Rock

Here's two cards I made with a new flip swing star cut file and a digi image with Bugs Bunny playing guitar that I bought at the Silhouette store.  Cut out all the pieces with my Cameo except for the small stars.  Those were cut out with MFT dies.  Thought the little boys at the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity would like these Bugs Bunny cards that are 3D and move when you open them.
