And they called it Puppy Love..

Remember the song from Paul Anka called Puppy Love?  That's what popped into my mind when I tried to think of a title for this blog post.  This card is for my hubby for Valentine's Day.  He loves dogs, so I thought this darling digi image called "Heart Puppy" from Eureka Stamps would be perfect for his card.

Colored the digi image with Copic Markers.  Used a gold glitter pen for the dog tag.  Designer paper is from the Robin's Nest.  Image printed Neenah cardstock.  Cut out the digi image with Spellbinders square dies.  Scalloped border and the heart shaped ribbon holder are cut files from the Silhouette store.  Cut those out with my Cameo.  Mounted image to card with pop dots for a little dimension.

Top Tip Tuesday - Make your own - heart shaped ribbon holder
Here's my tip - Ribbon holders are easy to make.
I used a Silhouette cut file, but you can make them with a punch or die cut too.
Just cut out the shape you want and cut two slits for the ribbon to slide through.

Another Valentine Card for the Children's Charity

This sweet little bear is a digi image called "Bear with Heart" from the Eureka Stamp store.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  Cut out with a Spellbinders square die.  Hearts were cut out with Provocraft heart dies.  Heart border is a Spellbinders Page Map On The Edge die.  The little paper clip on the lower right side of the image is a new cut file I bought at the Silhouette store.  Cut it out with my Cameo.  Designer paper is from The Robin's Nest.  Will be sending this in next month's package to the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity.

Valentine's Day Card for the Children's Charity

I recently purchased some Darice zippered binders to store and organize my embossing folders and dies.  While sorting through my collection and putting things away, I noticed I have several embossing folders and dies that I bought on sale, but never used.  So I pulled out a couple of them and starting making cards this afternoon.  This card will be in the next month's package with Valentine and Spring theme cards for the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity.

Here's a list of the supplies I used: Provocraft heart dies, Stitched Circles Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders Lacy Circle die, Neenah white cardstock and designer paper from the Robins Nest.

3D Shadow Box Card

This is one of the new 3D shadow box cutting files at the Silhouette store by Lori Whitlock.  It's a neat design, but very tricky to put together.  I cut it out of 110 lb GP white card stock and found that it wasn't sturdy enough.  Next time I cut this out, I plan to use a very heavy weight card stock.  That way it will hold the shape better and not bend towards the center.
