Hug A Heart Card Drive - Card 3

 Here's my 3rd card for the hug a heart card drive.  I bought this cute precolored puppy image from Digi Web Studio a few years ago and never used it.  I think the kids might like it.  The card drive is asking for little or no embellishments so I kept this clean and simple.

Heart Puppy - 2nd card for Hug A Heart Card Drive

Here's my second card for the hug a heart card drive.  I found this cute image called Lg Heart Puppy at Eureka Stamps and thought it would be perfect for the kids cards.  I colored the image in Gimp2 and opened all the pieces in my Silhouette Studio DE software.  Cut the image and saying with my Silhouette Cameo die cutting machine.  Paw print paper (made by Penny Black) was cut out with MFT stitched die.  The card drive is asking for little or no embellishments so I kept this clean and simple and only added a little twine bow.

First holiday card for this year

Last year I made over 75 holiday cards and it took all year to get them done.  So I'm starting early and making some each month so I can get them out to the various charities I support in November.

I used the digi papers from this Carta Bella paper pack and a fun snowman from the Silhouette store.

I cut out all the pieces using Silhouette Studio DE software and my Cameo die cutting machine.

Another card for the Cards For Hospitalized Kids Charity.  This sweet Dalamation pup is from Beccy's Dog Tales set.  Colored the nose and collar in Gimp then added gold dots on the spots on the collar with a gel pen.  I hope the kids will smile when they see this one.

Cards For Hospitalized Kids Needs Your Help

I received a letter in the mail today from a charity called Cards For Hospitalized Kids that I have been sending cards to for three years.  They are asking if anyone can help as they are running really short on card donations.  They receive a lot of cards for Christmas but no where near enough to fill their needs for the other holidays like Valentine's Day, St Patricks Day, Easter, 4th of July and Halloween.

They are a registered charity that has a excellent reputation and is doing so much to help kids that are seriously ill in the hospital.

If you have any extra cards you can donate or if you can make some holiday cards to send in, I know they and the kids will really appreciate it.   Even if you can only send one card, it's worth it to bring a smile to the face of a little one that is going through such a rough time.

Puppy Valentine

Hope everyone had a great holiday!   I am finally feeling a little better.  I dug out some card
 making supplies this morning to work on Valentine's for the card drive at Splitcoast Stampers.  

This cute pup is a new digi image I purchased from Bugaboo.  I printed the image and 

colored it with Copics.  Also colored the heart with Copics to match the hearts on the image.

Taking a break through the holidays

Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card I made for a friend who has a little dog that looks a lot like this one.   Cut out the main image, oval center piece and saying with my Cameo using a card kit from the Craftsuprint web store.  You can't tell from the picture, but there's several layers attached to the card base.

Another card for the Card Care Connection Charity.  I used a kit by Silvia Griffin.  Opened the files in Silhouette Studio DE.  I traced the images then cut out all the layers.  Inked the edges of all the pieces with a Marvy Sepia ink pad, then assembled onto a dark brown card base.

Here's a Halloween card I made for the children's charity using a cut file from My Scrap Chick.  The file is set up to be a treat box, but I made a card base in Silhouette Studio to change it into a card.  All pieces were cut out with my Cameo, inked all the edges, assembled the pieces, then added details with a white pen.

I made both cards with a Darice Leafy Tree embossing folder, Marvy leaf punch and some sayings I cut out with my Cameo.  These are for the Card Care Connection Charity.  I was able to use up some of my card stock scraps and some of the kraft card stock that I bought too much of when it was on sale at Michaels.
